Toeing the line

A couple of months ago I started running again.  I'm not even sure why I started again.  It was a lot like those commercials you see all the time where the running shoes start talking to the girl as she eats a granola bar or something.  One day I just decided to put my shoes on and went out the door.

Some time since then I started making goals for myself.
Run a full 5K without stopping.
Run a sub 30 min 5K.
Run more than 20K in a week.
Enter a 5K and a 10K.
Increase my mileage monthly.

Then it happened.  I added another.  Enter the Around the Bay 30K in 2013.  Now this is a pretty lofty goal for a 225 pound guy who has never run further than 12km and whose first goal is to just finish 5K without stopping.  But I will do it.

Here's how.  I am going to tell the world about it.  I am going to post about the crazy sights I come across and the even crazier thoughts that I have during my runs.

I will also write about the things I find interesting in the sport. Products, people and philosophies will all be fair game.

So off I go on my slightly crazy attempt to get around the bay.
